2 gray hairs

I've noticed 2 strands of grey hair. Either it's a sign of aging or a sign of stress. I've been driving to work lately, so I could run in the city afterwards. I get really stressed out with driving. I get startled easily and rush of blood rushes to my temples. I can't describe the pain exactly, but my temples get a sharp pain, for example when a pedestrian crosses the street when I do expect it. Or when a car cuts in front of me or drives to close to me on the freeway. I get really freaked out. I know why I am afraid(my dad died from a car accident when I was 4). I'm not sure why it's gotten so intense lately. It's becoming worse and worse. I'm afraid I'll pop a blood vessel one day. Maybe I need to figure out to run somewhere and sometime else during the week. Or somehow not to get so startled so easily. It really only happens when I'm driving in a car.

new palm:)

So I bought a new Palm on Wednesday. I got the new Zire22. I got the lowest end of Palm since I wanted a basic of basic. Now I have to buy a case, so it won't get scratched up, so it'll end up to be $140 total. I guess it's still cheaper than getting a Tungsten or TX. I can't imagine being in wireless hot spots. I don't go to cafe enough and I don't think airports have wi-fi, but I could be wrong. The screen is tiny though.

the latest on travel

Last week, the British authorities arrested 21 people that were potential terrorists. Because of the incident, we are no longer allowed to bring any liquid or gels on planes, including lotion. Ugh...sometimes I think the world is falling apart(global warming, fighting in the Middle East, Iraq, Darfur, AIDs epidemic in Africa, shootings in the Bay Area,...)

new class

I signed up for a new class today, child, family, and community. I'll try to purchase my book this week. I thought I might get a parket ticket on campus, but luckily I didn't. I'm looking forward to the class. It'll be late though from 7-10pm on Monday nights. I decided to take 1 class instead of 2. Hopefully, it won't be too much homework involved.

the greatest

I had a busy Friday and Saturday. I volunteered at the Y on Friday nights and this weekend I also I subbed for someone this morning. I went to a yoga class in the morning before I started volunteering, so didn't have time to get anything to eat. Luke was kind enough to offer to deliver food to the Y at lunch time. He does things non-begrudgingly, not out of duty or obligation(which tends to be the asian way), but just because he is thoughtful and kind like that. I am so thankful that he is in my life.

because she can

I heard a great Persepctive Story on KQED the other morning. Here's the link to her audio story: http://www.kqed.org/epArchive/R607260737. Dorothy McQuown decided to become a triathelete at the age of 61. She said the next time people ask her why she does it, she's going to answer "because I can". What an inspiration!

reasons why I can't eat fried foods

Even though fried foods are terrible for me, I'm still tempted to eat them. I guess it's like people who get hangovers and say they'll never drink again, but does it again the next weekend. Thankfully, I'm not there, yet. I'm writing down all the times that fried foods had a very very bad affect on me(i.e. major stomach aches, vomiting, and the runs!). Hopefully this list will remind me to stay away from deep fried greasiness.
eating tempura, deep fried gyoza, pork katsu at a Japanese restaurant in Berkeley

eating tempura from Japanese restaurant in San Francisco food court near Market, thank goodness I got off BART in time at the MacAruthr station

too many lil smoke link sausages on New Year's Day in Seattle

left over tempura from Japanese restaurant, didn't make it home in time from Berkeley Bowl

too much french fries from a restaurant in Maine

too much garlic fries at Dodger's game in LA, I was doubled over in pain

so remember no fried foods!
