Tom & Ray
Tom and Ray, they truly are more heros. They had a caller this morning with an ethical question. Of course, I expected them to give the ethical advice(i.e. do the right thing). What admire about them is they didn't have a judgmental or condemning tone toward the caller. They joked and said she'll burn in hell. 20,000 is not worth a lifetime in hell, etc. They really have a way with their humor, so we are not left feeling guilty, but we still want to change. How do they do that? How do we do that? I don't want to be the do-gooder police, but at the same time when we see something that is off or wrong, how do we point it out?
Hmm... maybe another lesson is for us to wait for our friends and family members to pose the question. The caller had to call, making the initial step that she knew something was off. Then maybe it's not my place to point, but be there when they have a question. How to accept someone unconditionally...something for me to think about.
