checkout the mildew

We've been out of our apartment for 3 weeks now. I think we should not have to pay rent for the month of March. The contractors said we could live there. It was a complete construction zone. Yeah, we could kind of sleep there, but our bathroom and kitchen was a mess. Here are some photos our our mildew infested apartment.

The contractors started working at our apartment on March 7. Renovations always take longer than you expect. They have knocked down the walls, put up new walls, and have started painting. Our landlord decided to paint our entire apartment while they were at it. A bit chaotic at our apt right now. We have to move almost everything out of our bedrooms. It's like we are moving except we are not. I noticed lately that I've been complaining a lot. Instead of griping, I want to learn to be thankful/grateful for something each day starting today.

Grateful that I have a roof over my head.

I'm planning to go to an event on Darfur in early April, called Stand Against Genocide. It's organized by The Bay Area Darfur Coalition.
